Whos pumped for my second attempt at getting this post up.
\I swear, sometimes I wish I could kick the internet in the butt. I feel like if it were a person it would be a very annoying 10 year old boy. The kind that, at the most inconvenient moments, decide to do something stupid. Like kick you in the leg, steal something, or make loud noises with obnoxious toys. Yeah… so pretty much i wrote my entire blog about satire. I was about to post it when i had a grand idea, i decided to add picture to add to the fun of my blog space thing. Literally the second i got them up, the Internet shut down erasing the last 30 minutes of my life. OK, now that I’ve told you all something that will never effect you, and you really didn’t want to hear, ill go on to try to rewrite my satire post before my Internet decides it hates me again.
When it comes to life, very few things really make me laugh. I can watch the funniest movies and not even giggle. Its not that i don’t find them funny, their just not laughing material for me. But when it comes to things like sarcasm, satire, and people moronically getting hurt I cant get enough of it. I think the main reason I’m so in-love with satire is because of its awkwardness. Not only does satire give the person the power to make a complete jerk out of themselves and make fun of something or someone, but it usually makes everyone else uncomfortably happy. Satire makes making people feel like jerks an American pass time. Just look at South Park. Its one of the best examples of satire around. Not only does it make fun of absolutely anything that breaths, but it has managed to gain both loyal fans, and mortal enemies. Like good old Tom Cruise and his Scientology friends. But satire isn’t just a form of the best quality humor, its a tool to pick at problems that really exist in society. The only reason satire is so amazing, is because it proudly states the controversial things people are thinking, but puts a humorous spin on it. The best satiric (<- is that even a word?) comedians are the ones like Sacha Noam Baron Cohen who uses other peoples ignorance to point out social problems. I mean, when life comes down to it, its fun to make fun of people, but its even better to get them to make fun of themselves with out knowing it.
P.s. To brighten up this really long and random post Ive decided to include my favorite world. If you ever get into a fight with someone, just tell them they have an very bulbous nose. Because come on, what kind of dis can you say back to that. Its just so amazing the person will be stunned by your knowledge of awesomeness. Oh BTW, the definition of bulbous is resembling a bulb especially in roundness. Seriously, the words just plain awesome.
Oh BTW, I’m in a really good mood, If you haven’t realized.

Yeah, satires are great simply because they boldly state the controversies in society, especially the ones no one really wants to talk about. Sacha Baron Cohen is such a great example, because not only is he incredibly humorous, but he is brilliant as well. The fact that he can portray such a racist/prejudice character and get away with it is so amazing. But the reason he can get away with it is because people actually act like that, it’s so great because it does make people awkward and uncomfortable, but it makes them realize how ridiculous society can be. South Park is also a good example. I love how everyone in that show is disfunctional and incredibly foul. But that’s also what’s so great about it! The main characters are around 10 years old, and they have such a crude vocabulary. It really is poking fun at today’s youth.

I couldn’t agree more with you, I find satire very humorous because it picks out social problems of a group and add a little comedy to it to make it funny. I found the movie Borat to be amazing, it was so cleverly put together. Sacha Baron Cohen and South Park are great examples of satire because they express it so well.
