I couldn't agree more with you, I find satire very humorous because it picks out social problems of a group and add a little comedy to it to make it funny. I found the movie Borat to be amazing, it was so cleverly put together. Sacha Baron Cohen and South Park are great examples of satire because they express it so well.

[...] Sam, meanwhile, has this take on satire: Satire makes making people feel like jerks an American pass time. Just look at South Park. Its one of the best examples of satire around. Not only does it make fun of absolutely anything that breaths, but it has managed to gain both loyal fans, and mortal enemies. Like good old Tom Cruise and his Scientology friends.
Yeah, satires are great simply because they boldly state the controversies in society, especially the ones no one really wants to talk about. Sacha Baron Cohen is such a great example, because not only is he incredibly humorous, but he is brilliant as well. The fact that he can portray such a racist/prejudice character and get away with it is so amazing. But the reason he can get away with it is because people actually act like that, it's so great because it does make people awkward and uncomfortable, but it makes them realize how ridiculous society can be. South Park is also a good example. I love how everyone in that show is disfunctional and incredibly foul. But that's also what's so great about it! The main characters are around 10 years old, and they have such a crude vocabulary. It really is poking fun at today's youth.

Really interesting, sounds like the kinds of things you would hear from a little kid, or a really cynical person. Seems pretty naive to me. And the beeping got annoying.

Wow Sam, that's just great. Thanks so much for putting the link up here because I was so dissapointed when I saw the short 2 minute film, and there was no little child thrashing around, and then I watched this, and it made my day. Haha, so funny.

It is true that Evil, in common usage, is nothing more than an advanced insult. Okay, maybe that was a little too harsh, but both evil and common insults such as stupid, rude, arrogant, or mean can change in definition according to who says them. Anyways, to bring up the real reason for my comment.

You mentioned at one point that "some religions believe killing everyone else is fine." I have to agree, there are many religions that allow or even organize massive killings of people of other religions or beliefs. It's horrible. Here's one example of such a religious atrocity:

I will be posting about this today on my blog, because of the number of people bringing up such religious atrocities.
